“Rīgas satiksme” calls on students to extend their status of discount recipient as of February 1
As a new semester begins, „Rīgas satiksme” calls on students to check their status of discount recipient and extend it as of February 1, so that they could continue to use fare discounts in public transport.
Students can extend their status of discount recipient in two ways:
• Remotely – by submitting a request to extend the status of discount recipient through the information system of their higher education institution. After receiving a confirmation, the student has to insert his/her e-ticket in one of „Rīgas satiksme” ticket selling machines (except those installed in low-floor trams), where the status will be extended.
• In person – by visiting one of “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres. To extend the status, the student has to present a valid student ID or a certificate from the educational institution, e-ticket, as well as an identity document (a passport or an eID card).
Queues may form during this time period, given the potential influx of customers, therefore „Rīgas satiksme” calls on students to apply for visiting a customer service centre in advance electronically on www.rigassatiksme.lv in “E-services” section.
